I have 30+ years as a registered psychologist and 20+ years as an executive coach and executive education designer, developer and facilitator for a broad range of organisations.

I hold a GradDip (Educational Counselling) (RMIT), BSc (Psych) (Melbourne) DipClinHyp (Aust Society of Hypnosis), ExecDip (Business Coaching) (NBIA) 

Dip Training & Assessment Systems (ANTA).

 

I am an AHPRA Registered Psychologist No. PSY0001117688, a member of the Australian Psychological Society, Australian and International Societies of Hypnosis and have secret level clearance with Australian Defence Force and previously with Australian Federal Police.

Executive Education Background

​

Gaining 20+ years experience with the University of Melbourne’s Melbourne Business School and Mt Eliza Executive Education, I was a Director for the Public Sector Executive Education and the Centre for Creative Leadership in Brussels, Shanghai and Singapore. Currently I am an Adjunct Faculty at the University of Melbourne's Melbourne Business School.

I have an extensive background in designing and developing leadership programs aimed at supporting change agendas for corporate executives and the Defence Force. Some of my experience includes:

 

  • Designed and delivered a number of team development, change management, high potentials programs together with internal coaching and mentoring programs to complement the leadership agenda at Defence Force Australia. I also designed and facilitated numerous development centre programs.

​

  • Conducted a large scale assignment to assess the top talent of Airservices Australia and have conducted numerous management programs and executive coaching assignments to support significant change initiatives. 

​

  • Designed and delivered ‘Managing for Results’ program for Airservices, a three- module blended learning program. This was delivered on 12 seperate occasions for over 250 level 3 managers. 

​

  • Designed and delivered a talent management program for Melbourne Water culminating in a one-year development initiative including training in team work, emotional intelligence, advanced communication and conflict management. The program included mentoring, coaching and action learning projects. I also designed and delivered their Graduate program. 

​

  • Designed a leadership capability framework and 360 degree tool for SA Health to measure the leadership characteristics necessary to transform the organisation. Designed and delivered a suite of interventions to executive, clinical and emerging leaders in the topic areas of leadership, change management, communication, conflict management, performance feedback, team development and emotional intelligence. 

​

  • Designed and implemented Learning Circles for the entire SES Band 1 of the Australian Federal Police. 

​

  • Delivered and coached on programs for the Centre for Creative Leadership in Australia, China, Singapore and Belgium. â€‹â€‹

​

  • Worked with complex family businesses through succession and change management and led large scale organisational change initiatives.

​

  • Coached senior executives of Airservices Australia, HVP, Sensis, Cabrini Health, Defence, Federal Police, Local Government, Mars, Queensland Health, SA Health, Melbourne Water, AECOM, UniSuper, Hancock Victorian Plantations, Boston Consulting Group, Telstra, State Government.​

Clinical Background

​

I maintain a professional practice as a psychologist working with people presenting with a broad range of conditions and hold a particular interest in complex chronic pain syndromes, drug and alcohol dependency and the effects of acute trauma and chronic stressors. Some of my experience includes:

​

  • Former Director - National Trauma Clinic (6 years) 

  • Working with Banks, Building Societies, Public Transport as a first responder to the scenes of significant trauma and became well regarded, appearing as an expert witness in trauma related matters at Magistrates, County and Supreme Courts. 

  • Instrumental in the introduction of Victim Impact statements. 

  • Attending to and supporting those affected by large scale traumatic  events, workplace injuries and fatalities.

  • Assessment and therapy for victims of crime, armed and emergency services.

I have an extensive educational and professional background which affords me the capacity to support leadership teams and organisations through a broad range of modalities.
